Audience: K-2 Classroom teachers, reading teachers, literacy coaches, ELL teachers and administrators Early readers deserve instruction that is clear, intentional, and rooted in what we know works. This high鈥慽mpact session brings the Science of Reading to life for K-2 classrooms, spotlighting the small鈥慻roup practices that build strong, confident beginning readers. You’ll explore explicit, assessment鈥慸riven routines that strengthen phonemic awareness, phonics knowledge, and early application in connected text-right where young learners need it most. We’ll dig into practical ways to integrate decodable texts with your phonemic awareness and phonics programs so instruction feels seamless, supportive, and aligned with research. You’ll also receive a set of gradual鈥憆elease small鈥慻roup lesson plans designed specifically for early readers.
