When people feel judged\, we may lose the opportunity to resolve the issue at the lowest level and worse\, damage our relationship with them. While you are in charge of the words you choose and how they are delivered\, it is always the receiver who gives the meaning to your message. In this workshop\, we will explore ways to listen to others without judgment or blame and then express our own feelings and needs. The skill involves linking our feelings to our needs\, instead of blaming someone else for causing them\, and helping others to do the same. Based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg (Nonviolent Communication) and Oren Sofer (Mindful Communication)\, this simple process provides a consistent way for all staff to develop respectful and trusting relationships. Developing safe and healthy schools begins with how we message each other. Strategies for using this approach will be practiced and discussed. Suggestions for encouraging buy-in from all staff will be included. Eligible for 3 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1/2 Consortium seat. If district pays\, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.\nFlyer:聽https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ad5nW40Dl4XuWiFQdqn9WK9vZY12Mv6K/view?usp=sharing\nRegistration:聽https://www.mylearningplan.com/WebReg/ActivityProfile.asp?D=13208&I=5135850 URL:/event/taking-the-challenge-out-of-conversations-4-steps-to-communicating-without-judgment-or-blame-virtual-workshop-presented-by-joan-fretz-9-12pm/ LOCATION:Virtual Conference CATEGORIES:Instructional Support Services Full Calendar END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
